Get an early start to your summer!

It’s an unusually warm and sunny spring here in Duluth, MN, which makes it the perfect time to visit. The summer season hasn’t hit yet. There aren’t many tourists, no bugs, easy parking, quick seating at restaurants. At the end of the day you can unwind and take in the view on our new patio, just built last summer. Nights are still a little chilly, so it’s the perfect place to gather around the fire, listen to the waves crash onto the beach. Before you know it summer will be here and Canal Park will be bustling. Take it from an experienced Duluthian, last year at this time we were still shoveling snow, don’t miss out on this sunny, warm Duluth spring.

Things to do in Duluth in August

August 2012 Events

It’s August already! Two thirds of our summer gone. How can we stretch out these last few weeks of blissful sun and warm weather? Well, my first idea was to sit and stare at the clock, watching the seconds tick slowly by.  That would definitely make it seem like time had slowed down.  But that’s not the point really, is it?  No, we of the frozen north need to grab hold of every ounce of sunshine and store it somewhere deep inside us, to keep us warm through the winter!  So I’ve compiled as many things as I could think of to do in Duluth, MN before summer is over.

If you enjoy big events and entertainment, here are the upcoming events for the first few weeks of August.

Annual Duluth Events:
24th Annual Bayfront Blues Festival (Aug 10th – 12th)

Duluth’s Half Tri (Aug 18th)

Kid Friendly Events:
