October is so full of events and activities that you might think it’s summer… If it weren’t for the 50-60 degree weather. If you want to catch the leaves changing color, visit now!
The first weekend of activities in October will please just about everyone. In short, the Vista Fleet has a Brews Cruise on the 4th. The William A. Irvin “Haunted Ship Tours” start that same evening. The DECC presents Jerry Seinfeld on the 5th. And if you’re looking for true fall weather fun, Engwall’s Corn Maze, the Fall Colors Tour aboard the North Shore Scenic Railroad, and Wagon Rides at Spirit Mountain are a great start. Football fans should check out Grandma’s Sports Garden – Vikings Sunday on the 7th. (multiple big screen action, interactive games, prizes, etc.)
Can’t make it the first weekend? Then definitely book the next. Not only are the Haunted Ship Tours going, but Spirit Mountain starts their Terror Twister Haunted Coaster Rides. I can personally recommend both. I may have used the brakes on the twister and grabbed the stranger in front of me on the Haunted ship, but I’m sure you’ll be braver. Plus its not too late to catch the Fall Color Tour aboard the North Shore Scenic Railroad, Engwall’s Corn Maze, or Wagon Rides at Spirit Mountain. And, sorry to ramble on, but there’s even more happening this weekend. October 13th has three, not to miss, family fun events. Boo at the Zoo – Fitger’s Harvest Fun & Harvest Run – Get to the Point Awesome Art & Gift Fair.
Still can’t get away? The last two weekends in October are just as chock full. Check out a VisitDuluth’s list of events here.
